All
of us at South Florida Urban Ministries (SFLUM) want
to thank you for being a part of our 8th Annual Thanksgiving
Meal Delivery ministry. This year was our largest outreach
ever as together we prepared and delivered over 3,500
Thanksgiving meals from 6 sites for low-income families,
shut-ins and others in need throughout our community.
What was even more amazing is that more than 850 of
you came out on Thanksgiving morning as volunteers to
contribute your efforts and goodwill to make this collective
outreach a tangible blessing for thousands of people!
At South Florida Urban Ministries, we provide life-changing
opportunities to children and families year round. Through
children and youth programs and economic development
initiatives, we empowerpeople to move from poverty to
prosperity.
We build support and momentum for all of our ministries
including the Thanksgiving Meal outreach at the Black
Tie and Blue Jeans (BTBJ) Benefit and Auction. Our upcoming
BTBJ event will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009. We are
looking forward to a wonderful evening of fun, fellowship
and fundraising!
I am not just grateful for your involvement, but am
greatly encouraged by volunteers and partners like you.
Thank you again for your support of our mission. May
you enjoy a blessed Christmas and New Year!
Gratefully,
Brent Hursey-McLaughlin
